Alan – a boy on Charlotte’s hall who is on the soccer team.

Alice – Charlotte’s best friend at Bailey, who lives a few doors down. She is from Connecticut and is studying politics.

Allie – Charlotte’s best friend from high school. She attends Savannah College of Art and Design.

Ashley – an older girl Paul dates in high school

Audrey – Charlotte’s roommate. She is from LA.

Brittany – Alice’s roommate, who initially seems crazy, but ends up nice.

Callie – Charlotte’s RA. She briefly dates Jason in the fall.

Chris – Charlotte’s track star ex-boyfriend from her sophomore year at Whitney.

Jason – a boy Charlotte meets at Bailey in April for a scholarship dinner, where they debate with each other instead of mingling. They run into each other a few times their first semester, although he briefly dates her RA, Callie; he calls her on New Year’s Eve.

Jay – a boy who lives in another floor of Charlotte’s dorm; he and Alice like each other

Leah – a popular girl from Whitney who has a baby Charlotte’s freshman year

Mike – Audrey’s boyfriend from home.

Paul – Charlotte’s longtime crush and eventual quasi-boyfriend. They were stand partners in eighth grade, reunited junior year, and good friends through college, until Thanksgiving when he confesses he has been dating a girl named Savannah.

Riley – a boy Charlotte meets through her anthropology class. In December, he kisses her.

Rob – a boy Allie meets in her summer orientation , who she later dates

Savannah- the girl Paul dates his first semester of college

Will – Audrey’s boyfriend at Bailey. They officially begin dating after Thanksgiving once she breaks up with Mike.
